Severson, Ethyl #2 (15 JUL 1945)

The marriage of Miss Ethyl Severson, daughter Mr. and Mrs. Vern Severson of the town of Beaver, and Pfc. Ralph Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Thomas of the town of Eaton, took place at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the Grace Methodist church in Greenwood. The Rev. A. J. Abbott performed the double ring ceremony.

Miss Ann Huntzicker sang "Oh Promise Me" and "I Love You Truly," accompanied by Mrs. John Meng at the piano.

The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, to the strains of Lohengrin’s wedding march. At the altar she met her groom and the attendants.

Mrs. Harold Heck served as matron of honor, and Misses Alice Severson and Helen Thomas acted as bridesmaids. The groom was attended by his brother, Dale Thomas, and Harry Lind and Harry Heck were ushers.

The bride wore a floor length bridal gown of white satin and net and a finger tip veil and carried a shower bouquet of white roses and sweet peas. The matron of honor was dressed in a blue net and carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations and pink sweet peas, and the second bridesmaid was dressed in peach net and carried pink and white carnations and orchid sweet peas. The groom and his attendants wore white carnations.

A 5 o’clock reception for 40 guests was held at the home of the bride’s parents. Mrs. Walter and Paul Acker served as cooks, and misses Anita Heilman and Lorraine Amundson as waitresses.

Out of town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Vaner Lindgren and family of Owen, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Heck and son of Neillsville, and Miss Alice Severson of Minneapolis.

The Loyal Tribune joins their many friends in wishing them a long and happy journey through life.
