Ciokiewicz, Dorothy (8 AUG 1953)

 

Miss Dorothy Ciokiewicz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Ciokiewicz of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Charles Ceranowski, son of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Ceranowski of Milwaukee, in a ceremony performed by the Rev. Herbert Krubel at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the bride’s church, at Owen, Wis. The nuptial high Mass was held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8th, 1953.

 

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was dressed in a white ballerina formal with lace bodice, and lace jacket and wore a blue hat and shoes. She carried a wedding bouquet of white carnations, pink rosebuds and forget-me-nots.

 

Attending the couple were Edward and Mary Allen Knall of Stratford.

 

Mrs. Knall wore a green formal with green carnations and white roses and Rosella Dulek, maid of honor, was attired in a pink formal with bouquet of pink carnations and white roses.

 

Marie Ciokiewicz, junior bridesmaid, wore a yellow formal with yellow carnations and white roses.

 

Alfred Ciokiewicz, brother of the bride, served as best man and Joseph Kelley, a cousin of Winona, was junior attendant. John Southworth and James Pogodzinski were ushers.

 

Following the ceremony, dinner was served to fifty relatives and friends in the church hall and a reception attended by eighty-five guests was held from 3:00 o’clock on.

 

The bride attended Owen High School, St. Theresa College, Marquette University and the University of Chicago, and has been employed as secretary by the Ryerson Steel Corp. The groom attended Bay View High School at Milwaukee, graduated from the Chicago University in 1950 and was a post graduate of Marquette in 1951. He is a mathematician and in the employ of Standard Oil Co. at Baton Rouge, La. The couple are now spending their honeymoon in New Orleans and will make their home in baton Rouge after Aug. 25th.

 

Out of town guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. John Ceranowski, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Stegmaier, Woodale, Ill.; Miss Helen Fialkowski and Mrs. Walter Kelly of Winona.
