Miss Beverly Jean Wry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Lund of Stanley, became the bride of William Thill, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Thill of rural route, Stanley, in a double ring ceremony performed by the justice of the peace in Stillwater, Minn., on Wednesday evening, Aug. 12, 1953.
The bride chose a white suit with a hat with a short veil and navy accessories for her wedding. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations. Her attendant was the bridegroom’s sister-in-law, Mrs. James Thill. Stanley, who wore a red and white checked suit with similar bouquet.
James Thill attended his brother as best man.
A reception was held on the same evening at the home of the bride’s parents. A shower was held there also on Friday evening, Aug. 14. The bride’s mother wore a lavender dress with white accessories at the wedding and the groom’s mother was attired in a lavender suit with matching accessories.
After a brief wedding trip, the young couple will be at home south of Stanley. The groom is engaged in cheesemaking. Both the young people attended Stanley High School.
