Depa, Paul #2 (15 JUN 1889 - 14 SEP 1953)
Funeral services for Paul Depa were held at St. Mary’s Church, Junction on Thursday morning, Sept. 17th at 10:00 o’clock, with Father Kaim and Father Gilbert officiating. Mr. Depa passed away at the Stanley Hospital Sept. 14th, 1953 of injuries received when gored by a bull on his farm in the Town of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).
He had reached the age of 64 years, 2 months and 28 days.
The deceased was born in Austria, Poland, on June 15, 1889. He arrived in America in 1911 and resided in Chicago several years before coming to Thorp, which has been his home until death.
On Nov. 26, 1918 hew as united in marriage to Anna Posda at Stanley, Wis.
Surviving him besides his wife Anna, are six sons, Andrew, Louie and Anton of Chicago and Peter, John and Joseph of Thorp; six daughters, Marcella, Mrs. Ted Kaszubowski; Julia, Mrs. Peter Wiklanski; Helen, Mrs. Walter Filipiak; Frances, Mrs. Michael Norks and Agnes Depa, all of Chicago; one brother, Marek Depa of Thorp; two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Mnikolacik of Stanley and Mrs. Magdaline Mazur of Chicago; three sons-in-law, Ted Kaszubowski, Walter Filipiak and Michael Norks.
Persons from out of town attending the funeral were: Andrew, Louis, Anton and Agnes Depa, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Wiklanski and family, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Filipiak and son, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Norks, Miss Bernice Ostrowski, all of Chicago; Mrs. Stella Jakubek, Mrs. Martha Pestka, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Ostrowski, of Wausau, Wis.
