Forell, Richard E. (Oct. 1896 - 25 Dec. 1947)
Funeral services were conducted at the First Presbyterian Church at Marshfield, at 10:00 a.m. Saturday for Richard E. Forrell, 61, who died Christmas morning of coronary occlusion. The Rev. Arthur R. Oates conducted the services and burial took place in Hillside cemetery. Masonic rites were conducted by S. A. Marvin of the Masonic Order.
Employees of the Soo Line served as pallbearers.
M. C. Bunnell, Peter Dolan and E. F. Kuehnast, of Abbotsford, attended the funeral at Marshfield.
Mr. Forell was born in Iron Mountain in October, 1896, and received his early education there. He was employed by the Soo Line railroad since 1909. He made his home in Marshfield, but was well known here as he was conductor on the A.N.E. line.
He was married at Kankakee, Ill., on Nov. 11, 1922, to Ethel Swift, who survives him.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by a son, Roger Forell, and a daughter, Carol Forell, both of Marshfield; two sisters, Miss Anna Forell, Marshfield; Mrs. Hilda Forell, Iron Mountain, Mich., and a brother, Charles Forell and by an infant son.
