Schilling Station
Jerry Vine has just returned home from Ashland. He reports big wages are paid to laborers there and he intends to go back to work again in about a week.
Geo. Harlow had a logging bee last week, and got five acres logged up.
C. Richeleu, our overseer of highways, has a nice piece of return piking done between his farm and S. R. Kelley's, which was needed very much.
S. R. Kelley plowed a part of the old G. Lambert chopping for G. Phillips. S. R. thinks it is not very pleasant work to plow among the roots.
Sam Johnson has got back from the woods where he has been working for Wm. Miller in the bark camp near Perkinstown.
August Stabnaw is taking his first lessons in bee keeping this season, having bought Martin Richeleu's bees and outfit.
Mrs. Thos. Vine and Mrs. Gilbert Phillips were the guest of Mrs. August Stabnaw last Tuesday.
W. Irving, of the town of Beaver, was taking the census in the La Tart district last week.
Thomas Vine and wife were the guests of Frank Nutting and wife of Loyal Wednesday.
Rev. G. C. Andrews spoke to the Sunday School in the Larson district last Sunday.
Ed. Vine had a raising last Saturday and raised a new addition to his log barn.
Geo. Wishing came down for the bark camp near Perkinstown Tuesday.
John Dyre and wife are visiting his parents at Colfax for one week.
John Severson had a log house raised on his farm Tuesday.
