Hogan, Dora E. (24 September 1882 - 29 June 1971)

Funeral services for Mrs. Dora E. Hogan, 88, of Memorial Home, who died June 29, will be held Friday, July 2, at 1:30 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral home. The Rev. Melvin Nickel of the Neillsville united Methodist Church is to officiate, with burial to be made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Friends may call beginning today (Thursday) at the Georgas Funeral Home where the body of Mrs. Hogan is in state.

Dora Hogan, the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (Bowlin) Jordan, was born September 24, 1882, in Homer, Ga., where she received her education. Her marriage to J. O. Hogan of Conyers, GA., from whom she was divorced, took place December 31, 1902, in Cornelia, Ga. Mrs. Hogan lived in Waukegan, Ill., with her daughter and spent the last several years in Neillsville.

Survivors include three children, Roy Lee Hogan of Wildwood, Fla., Lois, Mrs. Keith (Tim) Parrett of Granton, and Mrs. Halbert (Nell) Horswill of Neillsville. Six grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dora E. Hogan, 88, of Memorial Home, who died June 29, were held Friday, July 2, at 1:30 p.m. from the Georgas Funeral Home with the Rev. Melvin Nickel officiating. Burial was in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Pallbearers for Mrs. Hogan were Jim Horswill, Joe Dettmeyer, Jack Parrett, Wilbur Bardell, Carl Thoma, and Robert Horswill. Mrs. Sarah Smigelski sang “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Going Home.” She was accompanied by Mrs. James Musil.

Hogan of Wildwood, Fl., Mr. and Mrs. Keith Parrett of Granton, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Bardell of Waukegan, Il., Mr. and Mrs. Jim Horswill and family of Wisconsin Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Moe Dietmeyer of Wadsworth, Il., Mr. and Mrs. Ben Schroeder and Mrs. Robert Angell of Madison, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Madderon, Jay, Jon and Lynn of Waupaca, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Parrett of Freeport, Il. and Robert Horswill of Black River Falls.
