Charles Hoffman is ill at his home. He suffered a heart attack during the night, Sunday, and another Tuesday night.

Mr. and Mrs. Dick Kennedy were honor guests at a surprise party at their home, Sunday evening. The evening was spent in playing cards, after which a delicious lunch was served. Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy, who are leaving in the near future to make their home at Wausau, were presented with a gift by Mr. and Mrs. Leo Bumann, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Brecke and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Kadonsky.

The meeting of the Catholic Ladies’ Altar Society, held at the armory club rooms, Wednesday afternoon, was well attended. The attendance prizes were won by Mrs. Rudy Kugel and Mrs. Henry Duellman. The hostesses were Mmes. Jake Nikolay, G. G. Shields, Lawrence Rueden, Frank Duellman, Harold Reeves, George Hoffman and Robert Janda. The next meeting will be April 21, when the St. Bernadette circle will entertain.

Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Strombeck, of Wausau, spent the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Neitzel.
