Apfelbeck, Mildred Andrea (Marriage - 8 June 1948)
Tuesday morning at 9:00 o’clock, Miss Mildred Andrea Apfelbeck became the bride of Walter Juedes. The Rev. Nicholas Beschta celebrated the Nuptial Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic church, Colby, Wis.
Mrs. Juedes is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Apfelbeck, Colby, Wis. The bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Juedes, Stetsonville.
The bride’s sister, Miss Mary Apfelbeck, Chicago, Ill., was maid of honor, and Thomas Reynolds, Dorchester, served as best man.
Also included in the wedding party were two sisters of the bride, Mrs. Adeline Dahlke, Edgar, and Miss Stella Apfelbeck, and a sister of the groom, Mrs. Elaine Tessmer, Dorchester, bridesmaids.
Melvin Juedes, brother of the groom, John Apfelbeck, brother of the bride, and Norbert Dahlke, Edgar, were groomsmen.
The bride was gowned in white slipper satin fashioned with a beaded design on the bodice, and a sweetheart neckline. Her finger tip veil of illusion was caught to a beaded tiara with a scallop effect. She carried a shower bouquet of roses and carnations.
The maid of honor wore a shell pink taffeta gown. She carried a bouquet of roses and carnations. The bridesmaid’s gowns were of pale green marquisette over taffeta.
Breakfast and dinner were served at the home of the bride’s parents and a reception was held there.
Mr. and Mrs. Juedes will reside near Stetsonville where the groom is engaged in farming.
