Lott, Milo (6 Apr. 1903 - 12 June 1948)

 

Funeral rites were held Monday afternoon at the Evangelical Lutheran church at Curtiss for Milo Lott, 45, who died at 12:30 a.m. June 12 at his home in Curtiss following a long illness. The Rev. G. E. Borreson conducted the rites and internment was made in the church cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were Robin Ingersoll, Francis Tuttle, Lee Gayken, Rene Gibson, Arvid Hermanson, and H. German. High school friends of the daughters of Mr. Lott carried the floral tributes.

 

During the funeral service, Arthur Lokken, accompanied by Dorothy Thompson, sang "Softly and Tenderly: and "The Lord’s Prayer." The Marking sisters of Owen sang "Asleep in Jesus."

 

Mr. Lott was born in Abbotsford on April 6, 1903, attended the Abbotsford public schools and lived there until his marriage at Minneapolis Aug. 29, 1928, to Milla Borgemoen, of Curtiss. Since his marriage he resided in Dakota, Milwaukee, Chicago, and Eau Claire, and the past two years on a farm at Hoard.

 

Mr. Lott helped at Spencer’s Grocery in Abbotsford until ill health forced him to quit.

 

Surviving are his wife and twin daughters, Virgie and Verla Lott. His brother, Robert, lives at Chippewa Falls and his sister, Mrs. Herman Witt, of Woonsocket, S. Dakota, preceded him in death.
