Larsen, Eunice (Marriage - 21 Aug. 1948)

Aug. 21 was the wedding day of Miss Eunice Larsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Larsen, and Donald Daenicke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Daenicke. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiated at the double ring ceremony at 2:30 Saturday afternoon, at Christ Lutheran church.

Miss Inez Gust played the wedding march and the Misses Dorothy and Doris Kieser sang "O Perfect Love" and "Thee Will I Love."

The bride wore a white satin gown fashioned with a lace yoke, long sleeves and a long train. Her veil of illusion fell from a beaded tiara. She wore a double strand of pearls and carried a heart shaped bouquet of red roses and white gladioli.

Attending her were three sisters of the groom. Miss Beverly Daenicke, the maid of honor, wore a frock of pink ninon, with short sleeves and a pearl necklace, the gift of the bride. She wore a shoulder length veil to match her frock and a shoulder corsage of pink roses and white gladioli.

Miss Beverly Jean Daenicke, junior bridesmaid, and Miss Shirley Ann Daenicke, flower girl, wore dresses made alike of white satin with net overskirt and a ruffled bustle. Beverly Jean wore a corsage of red roses and white gladioli and Shirley Ann carried a nosegay bouquet of blue sweet peas and white gladioli.

Harold Zank, Jr., dressed in a blue suit with long trousers, carried the two rings on a white satin pillow.

Raymond Johnson was best man and Donald Kieser was usher.

Mrs. Daenicke wore a printed aqua dress and black accessories. Her corsage was made of matching asters and white gladioli. The bride’s mother was hospitalized and unable to attend the wedding.

After the ceremony a reception was held and at 5:00 o’clock supper was served at the Daenicke home where garden flowers and white and pink streamers were used as decorations. The centerpiece on the bridal table was a large, decorated wedding cake.

Mr. and Mrs. Daenicke left on a wedding trip to Milwaukee and on their return will live in the Mrs. Bertha Wilbert home on Highway 29 west. Mr. Daenicke is employed at Kalepp Bros. and Mrs. Daenicke, at the Coffee Shop.
