Gosse, Anna (25 June 1867 - 20 Jan. 1949)

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Gosse, who died Thursday, were held Monday afternoon at the Evangelical and Reformed church at Curtiss, Monday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, with the Rev. F. P. Puhlmann officiating. Internment was made in Pinehill Cemetery.

Anna Kobs was born June 25, 1867, in Germany and came to America with her parents when she was three years old. They lived in the southern part of the state until after her marriage to Henry Gosse, when she was 21 years old. They lived in Calumet county for the first few years and then came to their farm in the town of Colby, Wis.

To this union six children were born, all of whom are living.

After Mr. Gosse’s death in 1911, Mrs. Gosse remained with her children on the farm. The last few years, when her health failed, she has been with her daughters, Mrs. Melvin Ostenson, at Curtiss, and Mrs. George Kelsey, in Abbotsford, Wis. The past nine months she had been a patient at the Owen hospital, where she died Thursday.

Surviving are four sons, Henry and Carl, town of Colby; August, Milwaukee; and Fred, of Abbotsford; two daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Tina) Ostenson of Curtiss; and Mrs. George (Hulda) Kelsey, of Abbotsford, Wis.

There are 21 grand children and nine great grand children. She also leaves one sister, at Hilbert.
