Open house from 1:30 to 4:30 Wednesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gust Busse, and a beautiful service at Christ Lutheran church, held on the occasion of the golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Busse, were attended by many relatives, neighbors and friends.

They were preceeded by their eight-year-old twin grand daughters, the Misses Jo Ann and Janet Seehafer, of Marshfield, dressed in white dotted Swiss frocks. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler gave a fitting talk and the Ladies’ Aid, of which Mrs. Busse is an active member, sang "O Blessed Home Where Man and Wife, and O Blest the House Whate’er Befall."
The church was decorated with baskets of bridal wreath and vases of yellow snapdragons were placed on the altar.

Twisted streamers of yellow and white to which yellow roses were fastened were held by a large white bell. The center piece on the bridal table was a four tier wedding cake, decorated in yellow roses and topped by a wedding bell and gold leaves. Gold candles in crystal candelabra were placed on either side of the cake. Flowers and yellow bands of crepe paper were used as decorations at other tables.
Attending the festivities besides the children were Mrs. Busse’s three sisters, Mrs. Augusta Zimmerman, who was the bridesmaid 50 years ago, and Mrs. Minnie Voeltz, of Reedsville; Mrs. Bertha Schmidt and brother, Julius Ziemer, of Weyauwega, and Mr. Busse’s brother, of Reedsville.
