Kibbel, Christian William (2 June 1889 - 3 July 1949)

Christian W. Kibbel, 60 years old, Route 3, Marshfield, a resident of Abbotsford and Colby for 20 years before going to Marshfield two years ago, died in his sleep Sunday morning at the home of his brother-in-law, Theodore Gauger, where he and his wife were making their home.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby, Wis.

The Rev. Franz H. Puhlmann, of the Evangelical and Reformed church officiated and burial followed in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.

Christian William Kibbel was born in Washington county in the town of Wayne, June 2, 1889, and married Anna Gauger, of Marshfield, at the Immanuel Lutheran church there, on Nov. 19, 1912.

Surviving besides his widow are four daughters, Mrs. Herman (Leona) Schneider, Colby; Mrs. Alex (Ruth) Poznanski, Greenwood; Mrs. Ronald (Dorothy) Glenzer, Curtiss; and Mrs. Walter (Loretta) Mueller, Athens.

Also surviving are three grand children; a sister, Mrs. Alfred (Anna) Tueke, Milwaukee, and five brothers, Henry and Oscar, Marshfield; Ernst, Port Washington; August, Spencer; and Edward, Campbellsport. Four brothers and a sister are dead.
