Funeral services for John Frederick Wilson, 39, who died Tuesday will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at the Griebenow Funeral Home (Owen, Wisconsin) at Owen, where the body is lying in state. Pastor Viljo Puotinen, of the Bethany Evangelical Lutheran church, of Owen will officiate and burial will be made in the cemetery just west of Withee.
John Frederick Wilson was born March 26, 1911, at Telluride, Colorado. Most of his childhood was spent in Michigan after which he moved to Waukegan, Ill., where he was employed as a mechanist.
He was married Nov. 19, 1931 to Lily Marie Matilla, of Owen, at Waukegan.
In 1946 the Wilson family moved to Colby where Mr. Wilson was engaged in farming and a little later to Withee. In 1947 he bought the farm four miles west of Abbotsford on Highway 29. Here he was engaged in the washing machine repair business and also in farming.
On April 3 Mr. Wilson suffered a brain hemorrhage following an injury to his head when he evidently fell while in the barn. He was taken to the hospital where he suffered a stroke on Easter Sunday and death came at 8:10 Tuesday, April 18.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his widow and three children, Dorothy, 15; Norma, 13; and Frederick, 8, all at home. He also leaves his father, William Wilson, Fond du Lac; three sisters, Mrs. Bart Gregory, Fond du Lac; Mrs. William Savage, Zion, Ill.; and Mrs. T. L. King, of Charlotte, N. Car., and one brother, William Wilson, Jr., of Waukegan, all of whom will be here for the funeral.
Preceding him in death were his mother and one sister.
