Schumacher, Celine Ellen (Marriage - 28 June 1950)
Miss Celine Ellen Schumacher, Dorchester, became the bride of Joseph A. Zirngibl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Zirngibl, Medford, in a nuptial ceremony performed at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday morning at St. Louis’ Catholic Church, Dorchester, with the Rev. M. J. Kelnhofer officiating.
Her bridal gown featured a hoop skirt and ruffles, and she carried a bouquet of yellow and pink roses. Her fingertip veil was attached to a hat-effect headpiece.
Her attendants, Miss Marcella Zirngibl, cousin of the groom, as maid of honor, and the Misses Ardis Beyer, Stetsonville, cousin of the bride, and Janet Schumacher, sister of the bride, were gowned in dresses of yellow, light green and orchid, respectively, all styled like the bride’s dress. Each carried a colonial bouquet of roses.
Herbert Riegert, cousin of the groom, served as best man. Donald Schumacher, brother of the bride, and Robert Schumacher, cousin of the bride, were ushers.
A reception was held at the bride’s home, and supper was served in the basement of the church, to 250 guests.
The bride is a graduate of Dorchester High School and the Taylor County Normal School while the groom is a graduate of the Medford High School.
The bride is a teacher at Pleasant Hill Graded School at Abbotsford and the groom is employed as bartender at the Riverside Hotel in Medford.
When the couple return from a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin they will reside in Abbotsford, Wis.
