Lynn Ellis Church died at his home in the village at 4 a.m. Friday morning, Sept. 14, at the age of 59 years, his death the result of a heart attack.

He was born in Loyal on July 10, 1886, the son of Minnie and Austin Church. His boyhood years were spent in this vicinity, and he attended the village public school. After leaving here, he went to Chicago, where he took a business course.

He married Beatrice Heaston in Mexico on Nov. 6m 1926.

Returning from the western coast where they had made their home for a while, they lived in Akron, O., for seven years, then came to Loyal in June 1944. Here they purchased a home, where they have since resided.

Mr. Church was a man of versatile ability, doing well whatever work he was engaged in, carpenter work, fruit growing, or merchandising, in which occupation many years of his life were spent.

Coming to Loyal with the thought of a less active life, he was, however, engaged in many works here. He had charge of the Loyal Hardware store last winter.

Those who have known him since his boyhood days rejoiced with him in the pleasure of his home and in his contentment in his life in these last months spent in the little village of his birth. In addition to the old friends who welcomed him back, he soon, with his friendly, kindly ways, won many new friends.

He is survived by his wife and one brother, Fred Church.

Funeral services were held in the Loyal funeral home at 2 p.m. Monday, and burial was in Pine Grove cemetery. The Rev. M. E. Taylor officiated.

Pall bearers were Nick Beaver, Elmer Sterr, Ed Kreuser, Fred Lakosky, Frank Coryell and Walter Newman.

Those who carried the flowers were Mrs. Nick Beaver, Mrs. Elmer Sterr, Mrs. Ed Kreuser, Mrs. Frank Coryell, Mrs. Fred Lakosky, Mrs. V. O. Kauffman, Mrs. Walter Newman, Mrs. Frank Schultz, Mrs. Bob Wehling, Mrs. Emil Wepfer, Mrs. Vern Miller, Mrs. Elmer Newman, Mrs. W. I. Mack, Mrs. George Weyhmiller, Mrs. James Bertz and Mrs. Jesse Raab.

Those from out of town who attended the funeral services were Mrs. Dorothy Ward of Barberton, O., Mr. and Mrs. Eric Amble, Mrs. Roy Luber and Mrs. Edward Pfanning of Marshfield, Mrs. Morris Weaver ands Mrs. Elmer Haslow of Owen, and Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Way and daughter, Joan, of Anoka, Minn.
