  Nelson, William N. #2 (19 MAR 1878 - 18 OCT 1945)

William Ned Nelson died suddenly of a heart attack Thursday afternoon Oct. 18, at his farm home in the town of Beaver. He was 67 years of age, having been born Mar. 19, 1878, in Fond du Lac. When a small child, he came with his parents to the locality in which he grew to manhood and made his home for the remainder of his life.

On Aug. 21, 1906, he was married to Clara Hardrath, who survives, with three daughters, Mrs. Walter (Sylvia) Pieper of the town of Beaver, Mrs. Stanley (Eva) Stevens of the town of Loyal and Mrs. Raymond (Beryl) Grosnick of Phillips. A daughter, Alice, and two sons, Walter and Neale died in infancy.

Also surviving are two grandchildren, James and Kathleen Stevens; two brothers, Fred and John Nelson, both of Loyal, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Braun, of the town of Beaver.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 1 o’clock at the home and at 1:30 at the Methodist church in Loyal, the Rev. Myron E. Taylor officiating. The choir, composed of Mrs. Calvin Prior, Mrs. G. W. Nelson, J. R. Colby and R. B. Colby, accompanied by Mrs., Arnold D. Wickland, sang "Rock of Ages" at the home and "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Peace Be Still."

The pallbearers were nephews of the deceased, Richard, Alden, Harlan, and Harold Hardrath. ( last paragraph missing on copy)
