Fackler, Katherine (25 SEP 1874 - 23 OCT 1945)
Mrs. William Fackler, 71, died at her home here at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23. Her death was the result of a stroke suffered the previous Sunday, from which she failed to regain consciousness. She had been in poor health since a stroke three years ago.
Katherine Schuld was born at Jefferson on Sept. 25, 1874, and came to Loyal at the age of seven with her parents. She received her education in rural schools near here, spending her children in the farm home, now known as the Thomas Froeba farm.
She was married 43 years ago at Wausau to William Fackler. After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Fackler lived for two years at Athens and later lived in Chicago and Minneapolis. They returned to Loyal about 20 years ago, Mr. Fackler dying 10 years ago.
There were no children, but Mrs. Fackler leaves a brother and four sisters, Ed Schuld and Mrs. Anna Betzold of Loyal, Mrs. Jennie Brazel of Minneapolis, Mrs. Mary Foltz of Washburn and Mrs. Bell Tisdale of Muscoda.
The funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony’s Catholic church, the Rev. Aloys Zinthefer officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Pallbearers were Leander Schuld, Bernie Beaver, Achille Ampe, Casper Shober, George Schelinger and Raphael Hass.
Those from out of town attending the funeral were Mrs. Walter Oelschlegel, Mrs. Jennie Blazel and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Haas, all of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Harley Blazel of Fort Atkinson, Mrs. Isabel Wenstrom of Janesville, Mrs. Belle Tisdale and son of Muscoda., Mrs. Mary Foltz of Washburn and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Christiansen and Mrs. Dora Vaugn of Marshfield.
The Tribune extends to the survivors its sympathy in their loss.
