Miss Vera V. Buchholz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Buchholz of route two became the bride of Clarence E. Meinhardt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Meinhardt of route three, Greenwood, in a wedding ceremony read at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 5 in the Methodist church here. The Rev. Myron E. Taylor officiated at the double-ring ceremony. Mrs. Calvin Prior, accompanied by Mrs. Arnold Wickland, sang "I Love You Truly" and "Always." The altar was banked with ferns.

The bride approached the altar in a white mousseline de sole wedding gown, styled with a full skirt and a long train. The basque bodice was buttoned down the back and long sleeves puffed at the shoulders and ended in points over the wrists. Her fingertip veil of illusion, edged with lace, was caught to a headdress of orange blossoms. She carried an arm bouquet of white bridal roses.

Miss Arlene Buchholz, a sister of the bride, in rose colored taffeta and carrying white mums and pink carnations, was maid of honor, and Dale Horn was best man. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Meinhardt of Owen were the other attendants. The latter’s gown and flowers were identical to those of the maid of honor, except that the color of her dress was Alice blue.

Following the services the immediate relatives were entertained at dinner at the Buchholz home, where the dining room ceiling was canopied in white, blue and rose colored streamers, centered with a white wedding bell. A three-tiered wedding cake, topped with a miniatures bride and groom ornament, centered the table. A wedding dance was held at Longwood in the evening.

Following a short wedding trip to the southern part of the state, the couple is now at home to friends on the groom’s dairy farm four miles west of Greenwood.

Mrs. Meinhardt, a graduate of the Loyal high school with the class of 1937, has been employed at the Citizens State Bank of Loyal for the past 2 ½ years.

Mr. Meinhardt was graduated from the Greenwood high school with the class of 1936 and attended Central State Teachers college at Stevens Point. (some of the article was cut off)
