Resong, Michael (1827? - 27 MAR 1909)

Michael Resong died Saturday at the home of his son, Matt.  He was born in Germany and was 81 years of age.  He came to America when a young man and 40 years ago was united in marriage to Miss Susie Schaddack at Syracuse, N.Y.  They became residents of Clark County 31 years ago and resided on a farm 3 miles east of this city until the death of Mrs. Resong 10 years ago.  Upon the death of his wife Mr. Resong came to Neillsville to live.

Deceased was a pleasant old gentleman, industrious and hard working.  He was a cooper by trade and followed this business in his younger days.  He leaves two sons, Matt of this city and Arnold of Kiel, to mourn his demise.  The funeral will be held this morning (Thursday) at 9:30 o’clock at St. Mary’s Church.
