Welch, Arlene (Marriage - 29 March 1952) 

 

Miss Arlene Welch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Welch of Auburndale, and Lester Kuehn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kuehn of Granton, repeated their nuptial vows before the Rev. Erwin Wendling in a double ring ceremony performed at 2:30 o’clock, March 29, at the Evangelical Lutheran Church at Auburndale. Vows were said before an altar banked with baskets of yellow and red roses. 

 

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was attired in a white marquisette gown styled with a Peter Pan collar and trimmed with lace.  She carried a bridal bouquet of red roses and white daffodils. 

Mrs. Floyd Stoflet acted as her sister’s matron of honor and Misses Shirley Welch and Marleen Kliegle as bridesmaids. 

 

The groom was attended by Earl Welch of Burlington and Gerald and Roger Kuehn.

 

Terry Stoflet acted as ring bearer and Darlene Kuehn as flower girl.  Patricia Gruenke was the soloist.

 

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the bride’s home for approximately 40 guests.  The house was decorated with green, yellow and orchid streamers. 

 

The bride was graduated from the Auburndale High School and is employed by A. H. Weinbrenner in Marshfield.  The groom is with the armed forces. 

 

A wedding dance and shower was held at the Country Ballroom in Marshfield in the evening. 

 

Guests were present from Whitewater, Twin Lakes, Granton, Riplinger, Auburndale and Marshfield.
