Christofferson, Rickie (5 July 1876 - 27 May 1952) 

The death of Mrs. H. H. Christofferson of Colby has brought an end to a notable partnership.  In the early years of her marriage she was the family provider, while her husband made his way to graduation from the medical school of St. Louis University.   

She died Sunday morning at the Christofferson home in Colby, Wis. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the Methodist Church at Colby, with the Rev. F. J. Smith officiating.  Interment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. 

Mrs. Christofferson was born July 5, 1876, in Racine.  Her maiden name was Rickie Christiansen. She was married to Henry H. Christofferson July 26, 1899, at Waupaca, his native city.  The two went together to St. Louis, where the young man was a medical student.  Mrs. Christofferson worked there as a masseuse, an occupation in which she was skilled.  She kept the pot filled and boiling until her husband took over after his graduation. 

The Christoffersons located first in Loyal, and resided there from 1902 to 1910.  They then moved to Colby, and have made their home there continuously since.

Mrs. Christofferson is survived by her husband, and a sister, Mrs. Sue Church of Chicago.
