Dehn, Karl R. (September 7, 1952 - June 9, 2009) 
 

Karl R. Dehn, 56, Medford, township of Grover died Tuesday, June 9, at Memorial Health Center emergency room.    
 

He was born September 7, 1952, in Wausau.   
 

He graduated from Abbotsford High School. In 1976, he received a BS degree in Medical Technology from UW-Stevens Point. In 1978 he received as associate degree in mechanical design from North Central Technical Institute.   
 

He was married on July 19, 1980 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford, to Jean Smith. She survives.   
 

He served in the Abbotsford National Guard unit from 1970-1976.  
 

Most recently he ahs been working out of his home as a house designer. For the past 18 years, he has worked as a mechanical designer and provided drafting experience for Oshkosh Truck Corp. Oshkosh Ray-O-Vac, Appleton, Kimberly Clark Corp., Neenah, Enerquip Inc., Medford, Weather Shield Mfg., Medford and Northern Technical Services, Mosinee.   
 

While employed at Kimberly Clark, he co-invented two patents. 
 

He was a past director for AbbyBank, Abbotsford, Wis.   
 

He enjoyed football, snowmobiling, hunting and fishing.   
 

He was a member of the Perkinstown Community Church.   
 

Survivors include his wife, Jean Dehn, Medford; and his parents, Dr. Albert and Louis Dehn, Abbotsford, Wis.   
 

A memorial service will be held Friday, June 12 at 3 p.m. at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford, with Rev. Marcia Thomas of First Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford, and Deacon Joe Stefancin of Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Medford officiating.
