Anderson, Victor #2 (22 JUN 1885 - 11 MAR 1952)
Victor Anderson, 67, a pioneer resident of the town of Hoard (Clark Co., Wis.) died suddenly March 11, 1952.
The funeral was conducted Saturday afternoon March 15th at 2 o’clock from the Griebenow Funeral Home (Owen, Wisconsin) at Owen, the Rev. Henry Aukee officiating. Interment was made in the Riverside Cemetery.
Victor Anderson was burn June 22, 1885 at Eviy Arvi, Finland, as a young man he came to America and settled in Virginia, Minn. While there he was married to Amelia Loppi. Soon after he moved to Glencoe, Wyoming, where his only two children were born, Jenny, now Mrs. Norman Bakke, Curtiss, and Lena Anderson, Chicago, who survive him. After several years of life out west, he decided to move to Owen and purchase a piece of land in the wilderness and built himself and family a home. Life was a struggle as it was to all others in that neighborhood, in those early years. He eventually won the struggle and in the past years he enjoyed retirement on the farm he lived so well.
Pallbearers who serviced him at the final rites were, John Rosenquist, Sol Laakso, Frank Maki, Tobias Riikinen, Harvey Wilksman and Andrew Kallio. Music and songs were furnished by Mrs. Harris Johnson, Mrs. Lee Smily, and Mrs. Glen Buchanan. In charge of flowers were Mrs. Harvey Rosenquist, Mrs. Dan Anderson, Mrs. Wm. Kangas, and Mrs. Einar Laakso.
