26, 2009, at North Central Health Care Center, Wausau.
Arrangements are pending at Peterson/Kraemer
Funeral Home, Athens.

Jeannie Suckow, 57, of Athens died Friday, June
26, 2009, at North Central Health Care Center of cancer.
Memorial services for Jeannie will be at 7 p.m.
Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home,
Athens. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery,
Colby, Wis.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. until time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
She was born June 11, 1952, in Marshfield to the
late Harvey and Margaret (Suennen) Suckow. Jeannie graduated from
Colby High School in 1970. In 1975, she became the owner/operator
of the Family Affair Salon for 12 years.
Survivors include her siblings, Jerry (Pat)
Suckow, Unity, Harvey "Bud" (Marilyn) Suckow, Stratford, Jim (Jan)
Suckow and Elly (Mary) Suckow, both of Unity, and Susie Jecevicus,
Colby, Wis.

Jeannie Suckow, 57, of Athens died Friday, June
26, 2009, under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice at North
Central Health Care Center after a courageous battle with
cancer.
Memorial services for Jeannie will be at 7 p.m.
Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home,
Athens. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Colby, Wis.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the time of services Tuesday at
the Athens funeral home.
She was born June 11, 1952, in Marshfield,
daughter of the late Harvey and Margaret (Suennen)
Suckow.
Jeannie graduated from Colby High School in 1970
and then from the Wausau Beauty School. She worked for various
beauty salons until 1975, when she became the owner/operator of the
Family Affair Salon for 12 years. She then worked out of Barbara's
Hair Gallery until her time of illness.
Jeannie lived on a five-acre hobby farm. She had
a love for animals and took in many that needed safe homes. She
worked with Adult M.D.A. and did Cut-A-Thon for many years. She
belonged to the Jaycees, the Humane Society, shot billiards and was
a Green Bay Packers fan even through the losing years.
Survivors include her siblings, Jerry (Pat)
Suckow, Unity, Harvey "Bud" (Marilyn) Suckow, Stratford, Jim (Jan)
Suckow and Elly (Mary) Suckow, both of Unity and one sister, Susie
Jecevicus, Colby, many nieces and nephews, and a good friend,
Sharon Cook, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by
one nephew, Curt Suckow.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Jeannie's name.
