Ronald A. "Red" Frohling, 75, of Curtiss, Wisconsin died
Saturday, July 11, 2009.
At the request of Ronald's family, a private
visitation will be held. A committal service for relatives and
friends will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2009, in Pine Hill
Cemetery in the town of Mayville, Clark County.
A complete obituary will be in Tuesday's
Marshfield News-Herald. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home of
Abbotsford is assisting the family.

Curtiss, Wis. -- Ronald A. "Red" Frohling, 76, of
Curtiss, formerly of Richmond, Ill., died Saturday, July 11, 2009,
in the emergency department at Memorial Health Center in
Medford.
At the request of Ronald's family, a private
visitation will be held. A committal service for which relatives
and friends can attend will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 15,
2009, in Pine Hill Cemetery in the town of Mayville in Clark
County.
Ronald was born Nov. 11, 1932, in Elburn, Ill.,
the son of Harold and Helen (Jensen) Frohling. He attended Elburn
Elementary School. Ronald served his country during the Korean War
by entering the Army on Feb. 11, 1953, and was honorably discharged
Jan. 21, 1955.
He married the former Eloise Cerva on June 27,
1953, in Woodstock, Ill. Ronald owned and operated a dairy farm in
Illinois and continued to farm after moving to the Curtiss area in
1979. Following his retirement from farming he started a cattle
hauling business. "Red" was always known to be hard worker but in
his spare time enjoyed fishing, gardening and his horses. He loved
spending time with his grandkids.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Eloise, of
Curtiss; his children, Kathy Rueth of Withee, Dale (Bonnie)
Frohling of Ringwood, Ill., Sue Frohling of East Troy, and Kelly
Frohling of Owen. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Matt
(Jean) Frohling, Heather (Mike) Boehlke, Liz Frohling, Bryan
(fiancee Holly Stoflet) Pretzman, Courtney (fiance Jeremiah Mavel)
Frohling and Kevin DeLap; and four great-grandchildren as well as
many other relatives and friends.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, one
sister and one brother.
