Donald Adelbert Wells was born March 2, 1923, in
Greenwood, the son of Adelbert and Elsie (Dux) Wells. He grew up on
the family farm, received his education at Christopherson grade
school, and graduated from Greenwood High School in 1941. After
completing his education, Don worked at the Greenwood Co-op and
H.R. Baird.
Don was united in marriage Aug. 12, 1942, to

carrier, on Route 2 in Greenwood, for 11 years. In 1966, Don became
the Standard Oil agent in the Greenwood area. In 1976, he bought
out the jobbership and became Wells Amoco Oil Company. He retired
March 1, 1991.
He had many interests, but especially enjoyed
