A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at Christ the King Catholic Church, in Spencer, of which Margie was a long time member, with the Rev. Charles Stoetzel officiating. Margie was born in Marshfield on July 30, 1932, to the late Mark and Monica (Endreas) Gennett. She attended Spencer schools. On Oct. 15, 1949, she was married to Donald Weis. They owned and operated their dairy farm in Unity, until retirement brought them to Spencer. They had celebrated 49 years of marriage, when the Lord called Donald home Aug. 13, 1999.

Margie enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially playing cards and scrabble. She was an avid Packers fan, in particular No. 4, and loved to listen to Elvis and Johnny Cash music. In her younger years, she enjoyed gardening, being a 4-H leader, and cooking and baking for her family. Camping, fishing, traveling and an occasional trip to the casino were on the top of her list as well. She certainly had such a zest for life and has touched the hearts of so many.

Margie will be dearly missed by children, Bonnie (Michael) Jelinek, Wausau, Beverly (John) Bohte, Wausau, Linda (Charles) Smith, Colby, Diane (Thomas) Beyerl, Wausau, Jeffrey (Carol) Weis, Mosinee, Richard (April) Weis, Wausau, and son-in-law Sam House, Roselle, Ill. She is further survived by 19 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, sister Esther Bauer, brother Roger Gennett, uncle Robert Endreas, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Margie will join in peaceful eternity the loved ones who preceded her in death, her parents, husband Donald, three infant sons: Mark, Donald, and William, daughter Cynthia Jo House, and sisters Joanne Weis and Betty Hanson.
