Hansen, Hans #2 (26 JAN 1892 - 24 APR 1952)

 

Hans Peter Charles Hansen of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) met his death April 24th, 1952 while working in the woods.

 

He was born Jan. 26th, 1892 at Stevens Point, Wis., at the time of his death he was 60 years, 2 months and 28 days of age.  He moved to Withee with his parents at the age of 11 years.  On March 18, 1916 he was united in marriage to Julia Anderson at Withee.  To this union was born eight children, six girls and two boys.

 

Funeral services were held April 28th at 2:00 o’clock from the Griebenow Funeral Home (Owen, Wisconsin).  Rev. Clayton Nielsen of the Danish Lutheran Church officiated at the services.  Selections were rendered during the services by Mrs. Erling Jensen, Mrs. Leonard Jensen, Mrs. Mary Lou Sample, Mrs. Helga Anderson, and the organist, Miss Louise Hansen.  Selection rendered were, "God Will Take Care of You" and "Till We Meet Again."  Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were: Morris Martin, Inor Peterson, August Slock, Nels Nielsen, Lloyd Merdrum, and Fred Behling.

 

Flower girls were Connie Slock, Alice Schafer, anna Ristola, Rosemary Stark, Elsie Slock, Stella Mendalski, Francis Marsden, and Madeline Weyhe.

 

Surviving to mourn his passing are his wife, Julia, and eight children, Mrs. Lila Kassner of Glenview, Ill., Mrs. Adolph Schlapa (Grace) of Deerfield, Mrs. Eugene Schafer (Pearl) of Withee, James Hansen of Deerfield, Ill., Mrs. Milton Looker (Velma) of Redding, Calif., Harry Hansen of Withee, Mrs. John Shoblom (Verna) of Fox Lake, Ill., and Mrs. Gerald Brandt (Joyce) of Withee, and 15 grandchildren.  Also five brothers and one sister.

 

Out of town relatives attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dennisen, Mr. George, Mrs. Mary Evenson, and Mrs. Loren Dennisen, all of Lyle, Minn.  Also Mr. and Mrs. Harry Andress of Chippewa Falls, Wis.
