Teske, Joseph (1872? - 7 AUG 1952)

 

Joseph Teske, 80, route 1, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), died about 11: 30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, 1952, in St. Joseph’s Hospital , Marshfield, of a fractured neck received in a fall from a load of grain Sunday.

 

Teske was aiding in a threshing operation on the Clarence Schultz farm, route 1, Curtiss when he fell backwards from a wagon load of oats.  The Schultz farm is located in Mayville, 5 miles west of Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.).

 

The 80-year-old man had been hospitalized since Sunday and was paralyzed from the shoulders down since the accident.

 

Teske lived with Schultz and had worked on the farm for the past 8 years, having worked for Schultz’s grandfather and father, Paul Schultz who recently retired.  Teske is unmarried.  Funeral arrangements have not been made.
