Adams, Frieda M. #2 (5 May 1930 - 28 July
2009)
Freida M. Adams, 79, of Chippewa Falls died
unexpectedly Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at Sacred Heart Hospital in
Eau Claire.
She
was born May 5, 1930, in Eau Claire to Leo and Josephine (Ticer)
Greening. She married Donald E. Adams July 5, 1952, at St.
Patrick’s Church in Eau Clare, and they lived in the area all
their lives.
Frieda loved life and the world as it was. She
enjoyed gardening, both raising flowers and vegetables. She was a
very active member of The Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Chippewa
Falls, being in the choir as well as volunteering for many
projects. Her love of music was displayed by her
participation in the Chippewa Valley Gospel Choir. She loved
going to "sports events" with her grandchildren and the events they
were involved in. She was a member of The Red Hat Society
and, oh, how she loved her chocolates and "partying with her
neighbors." In the past, Frieda was an avid bowler, doing
mixed doubles with Don. She was a past president of the Eau
Claire PTA and a Cub Scout Den Mother. She loved "all"
children, which was evident by her having numerous "foster
children" over the years.
She
is survived by three children, Donn (Kim) of Elk Mound, Mark of Eau
Claire and Kathy (Larry) of Osseo; 11 grandchildren, Stacy, Sean,
Jason, Ariel and Jeremy, Nicole, Larry Jr., Bridget and Stephanie
and Cody and Sammy; 17 great grandchildren; sisters, Doris (Bob)
Berzinski of Stanley, Ginger Greening of Willard and Pat (Mike)
Sixel of Eau Claire; one brother, Michael (Ellen) Artac of Willard;
many foster children; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives
and friends.
Freida is preceded in death by her parents, Leo
Greening and Ludwig and Josephine (Ticer) Artac; and her husband,
Donald (1993).
A
Mass of Christian Burial took place Friday, July 31, 2009, at 11

Arul Joseph officiating. Visitation was held Thursday, July
30, 2009, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Stokes, Prock and Mundt Funeral
