Schilling Station

Henry Grass and G. Phillips called on Albert Stabnaw Monday, and hearing bees working in the mud near his door, asked Albert if he had tried to find them. He replied that he had, but he could not. On Tuesday Albert's brothers, Will and August, H. Grass and G. Phillips  decided they must be in a birch tree near the south line of Albert's land, the tree was a hard one to find them in it being so thickly covered with branches and leaves, so Albert decided to climb the tree which he did and found the bees. Then for the honey, they cut the tree down and a very disappointed lot of fellows--only one pound of honey was their reward.

The recent rains put a person in mind that they need a boat or airship to get around in, in order to keep out of the water. If any one doubts it, let them come up here and take a trip through the woods.

The writer made a trip last week near the east line of the town of Beaver and saw several new houses being built along the road, denoting prosperity and progress. Clark county is going to be as nice a farming county as there is in the state.

Ed. Einfeldt of Warner, was a caller at the Larson Sunday school last Sunday, but was disappointed as there was no one there.

Albert Stabnaw is rushing his barn to completion. He has a force of three men at work on it.
