Froeba, Viola (Marriage - 26 Apr. 1951)
Miss Viola Froeba, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Clarence Froeba, Loyal, and Alfred Uhlig, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin
Uhlig, Abbotsford, exchanged marriage vows, Saturday, April 26, at
2:30 in the afternoon, at a Catholic parsonage in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The bride wore a gown of slipper satin, designed
with a fitted bodice and a double layer of net on the full skirt. A
head dress of rhinestones held her finger tip veil. She carried a
bouquet of white and red roses.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was her
sister, Catherine, of Loyal, and as bridesmaid, the groom’s
sister, Yvonne, of Abbotsford, Wis. Their frocks were made with a
taffeta hoop skirt and ninon bodice of yellow and green,
respectively. They wore matching picture hats and matching ribbons
were tied to their bouquets of peach gladioli.
Dennis Zobrak, as best man, and Ronald Grambort,
both of Milwaukee, attended the groom.
Corsages of white carnations accented the suits worn by the mothers of the bridal couple. Mrs. Froeba chose a navy suit and Mrs. Uhlig a green and black suit.
A reception
for the immediate family was held at the Century Club, following
the ceremony. On Saturday, May 3, a wedding dance and coin shower
were held at the Colby Park pavilion, after which a reception for
the many friends attending was held at the Alvin Uhlig home.
The young couple left on Sunday for Milwaukee where they are both employed at the Allis-Chalmers plant. The bride is a graduate of the Loyal high school and the groom of the Abbotsford high school.
