Smith, Elaine Marie (Marriage - 1 May 1952) 
 
In a double ring ceremony performed Thursday morning, May 1, in St. Louis’ Catholic church at Dorchester, with the Very Rev. M. J. Kelnhofer officiating, Miss Elaine Marie Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Smith, and Robert Sebold, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sebold, all of Dorchester, exchanged nuptial vows. 
 

The bride wore a gown of nylon net and Chantilly-type lace, styled with a turnover collar, cap sleeves and billowing skirt. Elbow length mitts of matching lace and a finger tip veil attached to a shirred net bonnet completed her costume. She carried pink and white roses intermingled with lilies of the valley. 
 

Mrs. Paul Wagner, Green Bay, cousin of the bridegroom, who was in the bridal party as matron of honor, wore a ballerina-length frock in pastel blue and carried a colonial bouquet of pink and white carnations, tied with matching blue streamers. 
 

The bridesmaids, Miss Gwen Sebold, Dorchester, cousin of the groom, Miss Ilene Pettit, Eau Claire, and Miss Barbara Le Page, Withee, cousins of the bride, wore identical ballerina frocks with lace bodices and skirts of net over taffeta, and carried colonial bouquets of yellow and white carnations tied with streamers the colors of their frocks. Miss Sebold was in pastel green, Miss Pettit in orchid and Miss Le Page in yellow. 
 

Francis J. Sebold, Dorchester, was his brother’s best man and the ushers were Walter J. Smith, Milwaukee, and Lawrence A. Smith, Dorchester, brothers of the bride, and Daniel Kramer, Dorchester, cousin of the groom. 
 

Dinner was served at 12:30 o’clock in the parish hall and was followed there at 5:30 by a large reception.  
 

Both young persons are graduates of the Dorchester high school. The bridegroom served 18 months in the Navy and is now employed at the Sebold Chevrolet garage at Abbotsford, where they will make their home.
