Peterson, Mr./Mrs. Adolph
(50th Anniv. - 14 May 1952)
Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Peterson observed
their golden wedding anniversary Wednesday, May 14 and spent the
week end with their daughters at Chippewa Falls and Jim
Falls.
Adolph Peterson and Miss Carrie Hickok,
both of Curtiss, were married at Stanley May 14, 1902. Both of them
were born in Curtiss, Mr. Peterson on March 10, 1877, and Mrs.
Peterson, June 12, 1884. After their marriage, they came to
Abbotsford and lived here all their married life with the exception
of about two years, which were spent at Curtiss and Barronect, near
Cumberland.
Mr. Peterson was a contractor and
carpenter and among the houses he built in Abbotsford, was his own
located on Highway 29, west. For about five years, Mr. Peterson
worked at Berger’s Northland Henneries and for about the past
four years, has been occupied at his own place where he has quite a
large garden.
The Petersons have ten children: George,
Mayville, Kentucky; Mrs. George (Viola) Davidson, San Jose, Calif.;
Mrs. E. V. (Dorothy) Daggett, Chippewa Falls; Leonard, Withee;
Kenneth, at home; Harold, Delavan; Mrs. Ray (Evelyn) Engel,
Chippewa Falls; George, Marshfield; Mrs. Verland (Ruth) Schorer,
Jim Falls; and Gerald, Chicago.
They also have ten grand sons and four grand daughters.
