The engagement and approaching marriage
of Janice Elaine Sheppard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard
Sheppard, of Fario, North Dakota, to William Ross Hemphill, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Vern Hemphill, of Abbotsford, is announced by Miss
Sheppard’s parents.
Miss Sheppard was a June graduate of
Hamline University, St. Paul, Minn., where she was a member of
Alpha Rho Delta society.
Mr. Hemphill graduated in June from the
University of Wisconsin, where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon
fraternity.
The young couple will make their home in
Washington, D.C., where Mr. Hemphill is employed as geologist with
the Department of the Interior.
The date of the wedding has been set for Oct. 11.
