Polzin, Ervin Albert (26 August 1915 - 13 August

Ervin Albert Polzin, 93 Town of Hewett,
Neillsville, passed away peacefully Aug. 13, 2009, at his
home.
Ervin was born Aug. 26, 1915, in Oshkosh, the
13th child of Ludwig and Ida (Sherbinski) Polzin.
He was raised and educated in the Neillsville area and confirmed at
the St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville.
From 1942 to 1946 he served his country in the Army stationed in
the Philippines. For many years, Ervin was a migrant farm
worker employed in a variety of positions throughout the United
States. In 1983, upon his retirement, he returned to
Neillsville and resided on the farm of his brother, Alvin Polzin,
until the time of his death.
Ervin was preceded in death by his parents; all
his siblings. He is survived by many loving nieces and
nephews.
Cremation services are being handled by the Eau Claire Area Chapel in Altoona. Burial and a memorial service are being planned for early October at the Columbia Cemetery, Town of Hewett.
