Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline
Pollack, 80, who died Tuesday, will be held at St. Bernard’s
Catholic church at 9:30 Friday morning and burial will be made in
the Abbotsford cemetery. A rosary service will be conducted by the
Rev. Raymond Schulz, Thursday evening at 8:00 o’clock at the
Zink Funeral Home, where the body is lying in state.
Mrs. Pollack was born Appolonia Dutkowska
in Warsaw, Poland, Sept. 29, 1872, and came to this country when
she was 21. In 1896, she was married to John Pollack at Stanford,
Conn.
They made their home at Drummond until
eight years ago, when Mrs. Pollack came to Abbotsford to make her
home with her son, John. Her husband resides with a daughter, Mrs.
Louise Kyle, in Ashland.
Mrs. Pollack has been in poor health for
some time and recently spent several weeks at St. Joseph’s
hospital, Marshfield. She was home for about a week and last Monday
was taken to the Bethel Nursing Home at Arpin, where she died
Tuesday morning.
Besides her husband and son, John, she is survived by three other sons, Stanley, of Chicago; Joseph, of Hiles; Martin, of Rhinelander; and two daughters, Mrs. Louise Kyle, of Abbotsford; and Mrs. Anna Hahn, of Detroit, Mich. There are 21 grand children and seven great grand children.
