Lueth, Gretta (Marriage - 17 Jan.
1953)
The Second Congregational church, Eau
Claire, provided the setting at 7:00 o’clock Saturday evening
for the candle light ceremony that united in marriage Miss Grettta
Lueth, Eau Claire, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fielder Lueth, Route 1,
Curtiss, and James Nelson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Haven Nelson, Eau
Claire.
Presented in marriage by her father, the
bride was attired in a white satin gown. She carried a bouquet of
American Beauty roses.
Attending the bride were Miss Louella
Venskie, Nelson, and Mrs. Steve Nelson, Eau Claire, as maid of
honor and bridesmaid, respectively. They wore light blue taffeta
formals and each carried a bouquet of pink carnations.
Bud Nelson was best man, and Steve
Nelson, Eau Claire, groomsman.
A reception was held in the church
parlors after the ceremony, and a wedding dance was held at
Idlewild.
The bride is a graduate of the Abbotsford
high school. When the couple return from a wedding trip to Chicago
and Milwaukee, they will make their home at 215 Third Street, Eau
Claire, where both are employed.
Guests at the wedding were from Abbotsford, Curtiss, and Eau Claire.
