Goelden, Augusta Anna (7 Dec. 1867 - 19

Funeral services for Mrs. Frank Goelden,
87, who died Tuesday will be held Friday morning at 9:30 at St.
Bernard’s Catholic church. Internment will be made in the
Abbotsford cemetery.
A rosary service will be held Thursday
evening at 8:00 o’clock at the Zink Funeral Home where the
body is lying in state.
Augusta Anna Zausch was born Dec. 7,
1867, in Milwaukee. She was married there in June, 1886 to Frank
Goelden and they made their home there until 1901, when they bought
a farm in the town of Hull, where the son, Peter, now
lives.
Six children were born to them, four of
whom preceded her in death; a son, Grover, in infancy; Mrs. Edward
(Grace) Wille, Chicago; Mrs. Lyman (Sade) Brown, Boyd; and Frank,
of Abbotsford. Mr. Goelden died Jan. 5, 1929.
Mrs. Goelden was a member of St.
Bernard’s church, having been one of those who formed the
parish. She was also an active member of the Ladies’ Altar
Society.
About a year ago, she suffered a stroke
and about four months ago she was taken to the Marathon County
hospital, Wausau, for care. Here she died at noon on
Tuesday.
Surviving are her son, Peter, Abbotsford,
and one daughter, Mrs. Edward (Jeannette) Schultz, Fond du Lac.
There are 13 grand children, 28 great grand children and four
great, great grand children. A half-sister, Mrs. Kate Nachnable, of
Omaha, Neb., also survives.

A requiem high mass was sung for the
funeral of Mrs. Frank Goelden, 87, Friday morning at St.
Bernard’s Catholic church, at 9:30, with the Rev. Raymond
Schulz officiating. Internment was made in the Abbotsford cemetery.
The pallbearers were Leo Banditt,
Clarence Dolan, Kenneth Ingersoll, Joe Kunze, Maurice Mantor, and
Ben Merwin.
Among the relatives from away who were here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Edward Schultz, Mrs. Barbara Bennett and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Stokosa and daughter of Fond du Lac; Mrs. Ed Prokop and daughter, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Helgerson and son, Harold, Cornell; Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Lenhard, Athens; Harold Goelden and Mrs. Robert Kilty, Marshfield.
