Mrs. Al Holtzhausen took her son, David,
to Madison, Wednesday, for a check-up and possibly he will undergo
a tonsillectomy.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Groom and son,
Lawrence, of Boscobel, came Thursday and stayed until Sunday, at
the William Bogaard home and visited at the Robert Bogaard
home.
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Bogaard and two
daughters arrived at San Francisco, May 27 and will report at
Bangor, Wash. Naval station. They will take a plane to Detroit,
Mich., to pick up a new car from where they will drive to
Algonquine, Ill., to visit his sister, at Boscobel and his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. William Bogaard, here, and report to Bangor by July
1.
Jimmy Nikolay, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Nikolay, was admitted to St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield,
Monday. Reports are that he was being treated for meningitis and is
improving.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lapp and family and
Mrs. Herman Lapp left Tuesday afternoon to visit relatives and
friends at Gary, Indiana, and Winnetka, Illinois. They plan to
return about Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Treat returned Monday
morning from Merrill where they went on Saturday to spend the week
end with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Broeren,
and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Voge were at
Butternut, Monday evening, to attend the graduation exercises. A
niece, Kathryn Heirtriter, was graduated.
Adolph Voge was admitted to the Veteran’s hospital at Minneapolis, on Tuesday, for observation.
