Johnson, Herman (4 Mar. 1884 - 30 June
1953)
Funeral services for Herman Johnson, 69,
who died Tuesday, will be held Friday afternoon, at the Zink
Funeral Home, where the body is reposing. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler,
of Christ Lutheran Church, will conduct the rites at 2:00
o’clock, after which internment will be made in the
Abbotsford cemetery.
Herman Johnson was born March 4, 1884, on
a farm in the town of Holton, and lived on the home farm until
1944, when he sold the farm and moved to Abbotsford.
In May 1914, he was married to Elsie
Kramer, who died in 1939.
His closest survivor is one sister, Mrs.
Elias (Minnie) Olson, of Neenah; a brother, Simon, of Abbotsford;
and two sisters, Mrs. Carolyn Peterson, of Larson; and Mrs. Anna
Mattice, of Minnesota, preceded him in death. A niece, Mrs. Paul
Harder, of Stetsonville, and a number of other nieces and nephews
also survive.
Mr. Johnson suffered a stroke Friday and
was taken to St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, where he died
Tuesday noon at 12:30 o’clock.

Funeral services for Herman Johnson, 69,
who died June 30, were held Friday afternoon at the Zink Funeral
Home. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiated and burial was made in
the Abbotsford cemetery.
Pallbearers were Albert Venske, Emil
Venski, Emil Hoeft, Richard Schade, George Empey, and Ervin
Zahorka.
Out of town relatives at the services included Mr. and Mrs. Elias Olson, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Olson, and Mr. and Mrs. Roland Olson, Neenah; and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Mattie and family of Minneapolis.
