Feala, Mr./Mrs. Ed (50th
Anniv. - 8 Sept. 1953)
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Feala celebrated their
golden wedding anniversary on Tuesday, Sept. 8. The festivities
began with a high mass at 9:00 o’clock at St. Bernard’s
Catholic church, before which the honored couple repeated their
marriage vows. The Rev. Raymond Schulz officiated at the
ceremonies.
Dinner, served at noon at the home, was
attended by the four children of Mr. and Mrs. Feala, and their
families. A large gold cake, beautifully decorated, served as the
centerpiece at the table. Baskets of deep, yellow gladioli were
used in the church and home decorations.
For the occasion, Mrs. Feala wore a blue
dress with an orchid corsage pinned to the shoulder.
In the evening, friends and neighbors
came to give them an old fashioned charivari.

there about 25 years and then purchased the 15-acre property in the
town of Holton, which borders the east limits of the Village of
Abbotsford.
Mr. Feala was a farmer, tiler, carpenter,
machinist, and car repair man.

celebration were: Mr. and Mrs. David Feala and sons, David, Robert,
