19, 2009)
Benjamin R. Horst, 60, of the town of Colby, died
Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at his residence.
He
was born September 6, 1948, in Maugansville, MD, the son of Rueben
and Martha (Horst) Horst.
On
August 2, 1970, he married the former Lola Amstutz.
He
was a farmer all his life and a member of the Owen Mennonite Church
in Owen.
He
is survived by his wife, Lola of the town of Colby; three
daughters, Lois (Michael) Charlton, Tremonton, UT, Miriam Horst,
New Holland, PA, and Eunice (Mark) Good, West Salem, OH; five sons,
Joseph and Phillip Horst, Stratford, Jonathan Horst, Lamonte MO,
David Horst, Bonners Ferry, ID and Andrew (Lu Ann) Horst, Dalton,
OH; six grandchildren; his parents, Reuben and Martha Horst,
Maugansville, MD; one brother, Chester (Helen) Horst; and one
sister, Anna May (Ronald) McCleary, both of Haugansville,
MD.
He was preceded in death by one brother in infancy; and one granddaughter.
His funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 24 at the
Owen Mennonite Church in Owen. The Owen Mennonite Church Ministry
will preside. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation
will be from 2-4 p.m. and again at 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, August 23,
2009 all at the church in Owen.

with arrangements.
