The Methodist church here was the scene of the marriage of Eileen Foelske, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Foelske, and Sgt. Glenn Owens, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Owens of Waukesha, at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23.

The bride was given in marriage by her father and was attired in a white gown. The fitted satin waist with square neckline, was graced with double net ruffles, and long fitted sleeves tapered in a scallop over the hand. The double net skirt, over satin, ended in a sweeping train. Her fingertip veil was caught to a crown of orange blossoms. For jewelry she wore her mother’s pearls. She carried a bouquet of Queen Anne roses.

Janice Foelske, a sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Veryl Foelske, another sister , was brides maid. They wore identical dresses in pastel shades of blue and pink, respectively. Their marquisette gowns were fashioned in shirred fitted bodices, sweetheart neckline and short puffed sleeves. The long full skirts were accented with ruffles bows. Both of the girls wore heart-shaped lockets and shoulder corsages of carnations.

The groom was attended by Pfc. Ray Binning a friend, as best man, and T/5 Henry Hardy, his cousin, as groomsman. The men with the exception of the latter, who was recently discharged, are serving in the United States army.

The bride’s mother viewed the ceremony in a gray crepe frock, and the groom’s mother was gowned in a navy blue dress. Both mothers wore corsages of carnations and pompoms.

Miss Gladys Fenner sang the solos "Because" and "Together Life’s Pathways We Tread," accompanied at the piano by Miss LaVonne Smith.

A reception was held in the church parlors at 5 o’clock, and covers were laid for about 40 guests. The church parlors were decorated with white, blue, and pink streamers, and over the bride’s table, which was centered by the wedding cake, hung a white bell.

Guests from away were Mr. and Mrs. William Owens of Waukesha, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bobb, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Bobb and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hardy of Thorp, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Hardy of Withee, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Phillips and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hamann of Marshfield and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Binning of Unity.

The young couple will spend the remainder of the groom’s leave at the home of his parents in Waukesha, and they will then return to Camp McCoy, where he is stationed.
