Elmhorst, Vera (23 MAR 1946) No day date given in article. Assuming paper published on Thursday makes Saturday the 23rd
Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock in a wedding ceremony read in the parsonage of the Evangelical Lutheran church at Granton, Miss Vera Elmhorst of Marshfield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Elmhorst Sr. of Granton, became the bride of Harold Lemke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lemke of route one. The Rev. William Lauterbach officiated at the double ring service.
Attendants were Mrs. John Stover of Marshfield, the bride’s twin sister and Norman Lemke of Loyal, a brother of the groom.
For the occasion, the bride wore a brown suit, the coat of which was cut like an Eisenhower jacket. A lime green blouse and brown accessories completed her ensemble, and her corsage was an arrangement of yellow jonquils. Mrs. Stover wore a gray tailleur, with black accessories and a corsage of pink gladioli.
Following the ceremony, covers were laid for 25 guests at dinner at 6:30 o’clock at the Elmhorst home. A two-tier wedding cake formed the centerpiece at the table.
Mrs. Lemke, who was graduated from Granton high school with the class of 1942, has been employed by the Macson Photo Co. in Marshfield. Her husband is engaged in farming. The young couple will reside with the groom’s parents.
The Loyal Tribune joins their many friends in wishing them a long and happy journey through life.
