EDGAR -- Lloyd R. Pilgrim, 88, Edgar, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, at Colonial Center, Colby. 
 

He was born May 10, 1921, in Edgar, son of Herman and Elsie (Rietzow) Pilgrim. He married Helen Oldenburg on June 7, 1958, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Gleason. She preceded him in death Nov. 20, 1994. 
 

He was a farmer who enjoyed raising hogs and sold eggs at local grocery stores. 
 

Survivors include his daughter, Nancy (Don) Powell, Lino Lakes, Minn.; two sons, Donald (Cindy Smith) Pilgrim, Edgar and Richard (Lisa) Pilgrim, Wausau; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and one brother, Clarence (Violet) Pilgrim, Stratford. 
 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John Lutheran Church-High Steeple, Edgar. Burial will be in the church cemetery. 
 

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar and from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church. There will be a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
