Hemlock
Little Verne Varney has a narrow escape from getting his limbs crushed Friday. His father coming home with a load of lumber, left the team standing outside the door for a few minutes. Little Vernie climbed up on the wheels, the team starting up with him between the wheels, one passing over both limbs. It gave the parents quite a scare, but the results were not serious.
Messrs. Ferneau and Kelley have been hauling rock for the Popple river bridge.
K. Anderson, who has been very sick for the past month, is now improving.
Elsie Cramer is home from York for a few weeks' visit.
Mrs. Varney and Edith attended the S. S. convention at Thorp as delegates from our school.
Charles Limprech started for Perkinstown Monday morning, where he goes to haul lumber for Gibson.
Mrs. Hugget and children spent a few days in Greenwood last week.
