Peter Michael Heiser, 812 South Oak Street, was born in Cooperstown, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, August 18, 1870. After leaving school he worked on his father’s farm until he was 20. He accepted a job as conductor on the Milwaukee Street Railway System, which he held a year. He then spent seven years working in logging camps in northern Wisconsin, in harvest fields in North Dakota, and years running a head lettuce crate manufacturing industry at Thorp. On February 2, 1904, he associated himself with the Advance Threshing Company of Battle Creek, Michigan, as a traveling salesman, remaining with them until 1926. He changed to a similar job with the Huber Manufacturing Company of Marion, Ohio, also a thresher and tractor concern, where he has remained. He and his family moved from Thorp to this city in 1912. Their home has since been here, except for one year spent in Manitowoc. They returned to this city last September. 
 

Mr. Heiser was married to Miss Mary Dobmeier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Dobmeier, Los Angeles, California, in a Catholic church in Park River, North Dakota, the home of the Dobmeier family, December 12, 1898. Mr. and Mrs. Heiser are the parents of five children: Mrs. Carl Orgisch, Kenosha; Mrs. Ralph Filyes, Manitowoc; Lawrence Heiser, Wausau; Ben Heiser, Second Lieutenant, United States Field Artillery, Fort Sam Houston, Texas; and George Heiser, Marshfield. 
 

Mr. Heiser is a former village trustee of Thorp, a part chief ranger of the Thorp Court of the Catholic Order of Foresters, and a past councilor of the Marshfield Council of the United Commercial Travelers. Since coming to this city he transferred to the Marshfield Foresters’ Court. His other fraternal affiliations are with the Elks and the Modern Woodmen. Politically, he is Independent. His hobbies are hunting and skat playing.
